Do Good Things: Finding Your Sacred Land

Here I am in Taos pueblo, where I have the honor of meeting native americans.  In a short hour, I have veered off the tour and have a chance personal encounter with a native American woman, about my age.  As my mother always said – people are enchantingly complex.  Within the hour, I learn that she’s a concert violinist, and an amateur photographer who has now won in several juried shows.  I’m enchanted with everything that she discusses about her culture and her love of her homeland, her sacred land.

We are very different, but we have a bond.  My sacred land has been Litchfield Connecticut.

When you find your sacred land – guard it, cherish it, protect it.
And know that you are only a temporary visitor.
Many of us are nomadic during our lifetimes – moving from job to job, place to place for the next “thing”.

When and if you finally settle down — honor those before you.

Do Good Things on sacred land.
